Moustache..?

A couple of things (or more).

First up, the Seduction Closet "Like and Win" contest is up and running. Which means, I am officially bugging everyone as well as spamming their wall to collect as many "Likes" as I can. So, I've spammed FB and Twitter. Now time to ask you readers to do the same! Here's the LINK. Just make sure you "Like" the page as well or else your vote will not be counted.

Just in case you can't find me, this is the picture you should like.
Very the model-ly pose right... :P
I just had to be all model-like la. It's not everyday you get the chance, right? I really liked the moustache on the sign:) I think it's the hype of going to France that's got me going gaga over cute moustache related stuff. hahaha!~

Anyway, please help a girl out ok:)

What's next? Hmm.. oh yes! Europe is happening in less than a month! OMG!! Mama and I still haven't renewed our passports yet and we've got some shopping to do too. And not to forget some details to plan. Things will go well, I hope :P

I've been quite busy lately. Lent seems to be packed with projects and also, it seems like everyone wants to meet up! SMKAM2 friends, La Salle friends, Sunday School friends and church too! I feel so busy la.:)

Ok, the next thing I really wanted to talk about it my next craft project. I'm going to make a DIY Astronaut T-shirt. When I say Astronaut here, I mean the Simple Plan version. There's this cute little Astronaut on Seb's guitar pick and I want to paint it onto a T-shirt.

I tried printing the design but it came out all blurry. I think it's because the original is quite small so when I blow it up, the pixels all look so cacated.  So, what I ended up doing was tracing the picture straight from the computer screen onto and A4 paper.

Like the guy is doing in this picture:

Anyway, it came out pretty good. All I need now is to get a nice, comfy t-shirt so I can start my work! :) I want to get this done before Europe.

The thing is, I've been so busy lately, and still am, that I don't have time for this! AHH! I'm gonna have to wait till after Easter to settle everything. That leaves me about 2 weeks. I think I can manage:)

That's all for now.
Remember to vote!! :)

F1 Malaysian Grand Prix 2012!

So, I was fortunate enough to be offered the chance to work during the F1 race at Sepang last weekend. It was mind-blowing! And ear splitting too!

I was a sales girl (along with Nadiah and Adeline), selling original F1 merchandise to the masses. It was good work. Standing all day, being flooded by huge waves of people. The standing all day wasn't too bad but the scorching sun was definitely terrible. Something not even SPF130 could protect me from.

The stand we worked at had a walk-in concept, as opposed to the over-the-counter concept that every other stand had. So, that arrangement required one person to stand outside the entire time. Somehow, that 'one person' always seemed to be me!

I'm not complaining, though. I'd take the sun any time as long as I can escape the stuffy tent. Since I'm so short, I can't get a breath of fresh air at all when I'm in the tent. There was this one Dutch guy who is 8 feet tall! He's got no problems with that at all. Anywhere he stands, he's got fresher air than anyone else:)

Team Lotus and Red Bull were really popular. Their stuff were flying of the rack. From t-shirts to jackets and hats. Even car models, land-yards and snow caps! I bought a Team Lotus t-shirt for myself:) I couldn't resist!

It's green and yellow (So Malayalee). Also, I first stared liking F1 when Alonso was driving for Renault, so I really like Renault and Lotus uses their engines. Also, Kimi Raikkonen drives for Lotus now too. And most importantly, Lotus is Malaysian!! So, Team Lotus babeh! :)

I made a few new friends in those three days. Really nice people that I really like and I really want to keep in touch with:) There's Marcus's cousin, Nicole, who is really friendly. She's really nice and really normal compared to Marcus! hahaha:) And apparently, she knows Nadiah but they didn't know that they knew each other till that day.

Then there's the two Dutch guys who work for the company, Jos (pronounced as "Yos") and Elia (pronounced and "Ay-lee-a"). They're both very awesome characters. I'd love to work with them again:)

Jos started of by calling me "Ma'am" at first but I didn't respond. I'm not used to people calling me that. Then, he saw that when Nadiah called me "Kath", I turned around straight away. He called me "Kath" after that. Elia, on the other hand, kept calling me "Bob" because of my Bob Marley cap. Those guys are great. Also, they can sleep right through the race even with all the noise!! I couldn't even hear myself scream but Elia managed to take a refreshing 30 minute nap. What a champ.

This was definitely a great experience. I wouldn't mind doing it again. Not so soon, though. I don't think I can survive. I don't know how they do it! They work longer hours than us. They have to set up the tents, unpack, pack and then take down the tents too! I salute them, man!

Anyway, I had a blast and I'm glad I made new friends. I'm still riding the high from the weekend. This is what I want. Being busy and surrounded by people that are nice and whom I feel comfortable with. I've only known them for 3 days but I already think of them as friends. The jokes, the fun, the serious moments and the getting to know each other, that is life. Yay, to making new friends! :)

I shall end this post with something I told Elia when he asked me to sing for them; "The Bob (Marley) in me has died... of soul cancer. There's no coming back from that. Sorry."

Dank U, Ik zal je missen!!
Left to Right: Nadiah, Maurin (8 feet tall in blue), Elia, Nicole, Jessica (blonde), Jos.

Seduction Closet

One of my friends set up an on-line boutique called Seduction Closet. It's mostly dresses, and a few skirts n accessories. The quality is good and shipping is free within Malaysia. The price isn't too bad either, especially if compared to any other on-line boutique.

Plus, this girl has an awesome sense of style. Seduction closet caters for many different styles. I know that I love some of the items she's got, I bought a couple too. The clothes are quite versatile, so you can modify it to suit your own style. She's also really nice.

Anyway, I'm blabbering here not only to promote Seduction Closet but to tell you about a contest that's going on. If you've bought anything from SC, then you are qualified to enter. You need to take a picture of yourself wearing an SC item with a sign that says "Seduction Closet", send it to them and then have your friends 'Like' it on FB. The most 'Likes', win. Simple as that.

So basically, it's a 'Like and Win' contest.

I wanna join!! I've bought 2 things from SC and I really want to enter because the prizes are 'inouï' (that's French for 'incredible'). First prize is an iPod Shuffle and a dress of the winner's choice, second is a dress of the winners choice and another dress chosen by SC for the winner, and third is a dress of the winners choice.

So, in short, the prizes offered are all 'inouï'.

I have an idea of two on how I want my picture to look like. The only bump in the road is that I need a camera. My phone camera is not very clear but Moe's phone has an 8 mega pixel camera. I think that should be fine. I just need to make sure I take the picture tomorrow.

The deadline is on the 25th. I want to make sure I get it in on time.

Good Luck to me!! :)

Muy Clasica!

Yellow! Hi again. So, firstly, I guess that I should post more often. Yes, I should.

Now that's settled, let's get down to business.

There are a few things to be excited about!

I saw Dillon yesterday! He's grown! I really miss him man! Anyway, he was so great to hang out with. He can be a little stubborn sometimes but he does listen to you if you tell him nicely. I really should go see him more often. I love being called Che Che. I love laving a little hand tug my finger to make sure I'm paying attention.

When we were about to leave, he started to cry. He kept saying, "Che Che, don't go. Don't go! Dillon come, Dillon come. Che Che don't go!". OMG! Is there anything more heartbreaking than that? Not to me!! I want to go again! :D

Anyway, another thing is EUROPE!~

Only two month till we fly roughly 12, 829 km around the world to Europe, babeyh! I really can't wait. At first, it felt like a dream. Then the whole AirAsia thing happened and hopes dwindled, but now... now it's reality!

My new countdown (I think I shall add a countdown widget on this blog) is for the 24th of April! That's 38 days away! (I didn't realise how close that was till counted just now). So, time to start hunting for many long sleeved t-shirts, thermal socks, new toothbrushes and luggage! We also need a camera and spare batteries as well as extra memory cards.

This is going to be epic! The three of us have never been on a holiday together, just us. So, this is going to be a first. Talk about going big on the first try! This is certainly that:) I think it'll be great. We'll be so far away from home. There'll be no distraction from our world. It'll be a complete escape.

I can't wait man! People keep telling me to prepare for a culture shock and I'm trying to but I think no matter how much I prepare, I will be blown away. So, why worry?!

Oh! Now let's talk about new stuff! I have a new bag!! Wohoo!!!:)

If you don't know me, I'm a terrible person to go serious shopping with. Window shopping is fine, but if I really want to buy something, I can be really picky. It's just that, when I buy something like a bag or a pair of shoes, I tend to buy for the long haul. So, I am very particular about every little bitty thing. Sometimes that's good, sometimes it's just a pain in the ....

So anyway, I have a new bag... after months of searching! We found it in PAS of all places! It's a beautiful small-briefcase like bag. (I'd post a pic but we still don't have a camera yet and my phone camera isn't really clear at night). It's brown with a light gray strap and flap. It looks muy clasica (that's Spanish, by the way. No, we aren't going to Spain).

Also, we found shoes! I looked high and low for shoes that I liked. I found a few but there wasn't any in my size. I went to I-don't -know-how-many shoe stores and found none! Finally, we went to a shoe store mama's been going to for years. They used to do custom orders and stuff. I found awesome flats, veltvet-like, and really cute heels! So, I bought (or Mama did) 3 pairs of shoes that day! Now, I'm well stocked:)

Moving on, I dyed my jeans! I discovered the wonders of Dylon Fabric dye, thanks to Mama:)My faded, washed out jeans (which mama say's is too ugly to be worn to church) has been dunked into a vat of simmering dye water! It's now a pleasant blueish-grey colour:)

This makes me want to dye more stuff!!!

Let's end with this:)

Swamped.

I haven't talked about this and I think it's time I did.

So, I am now the LEYP President. (LEYP is the church youth group. It stands for League Extraordinary Young People). Anywhoo, I was honestly caught by surprise when I won the elections. Who would want anti-social, little me to be the Youth President?

So here I am now, being swamped with so much stuff to do. I now understand what Timmy and Eric had to face. This is no walk in the park, let me make that clear. There's lots of meetings and decisions that need to be discussed as well and events that need to be planned.

I'm really grateful to have such a great committee. Sure, sometimes one or two of them may need a little kick in the behind to get them going but really, overall, I'd say we have a great bunch. Everyone is enthusiastic. We have some fresh blood, which is always good. Most importantly, though, I have an awesome VP. We are so different in so many ways that I think we keep each other balanced. Also, she's so much wiser than me! :)

Right now, there's plenty going on for Easter. We have the Passover Meal, Movie Night, and the play (which includes hours of practices and tons of legwork). During all that, we have to get started on the Rally. We also have our twice a month gathering sessions and other extras we've come up with to foster friendship.

It really doesn't seem like much when it's written down like this but there's a dozen different details followed by a dozen other little details that need to be worked out. I'm having a ball. I enjoy this. It keeps me busy and it gets me out of my shell more often.

I hope I do well by them. I really want to keep the momentum going. The precious committee did such a good job and I don't want to let this die down. I don't want to let my committee down either. Everyone is so pumped and focused. I hope we do well.

p.s: This might be too soon to voice out, but I don't think I'll be going for a second term. 2 years is more than enough for one lifetime, I think.

Camp-like!

Oh my. It's been a long, long week filled with long, long days.

You know when you go for a camp, you're actually tired by the end of the first day but you don't feel it till the last day? Well, that's exactly how I feel right now. I just want to curl up on my bed and lie there till I stop feeling tired. But life goes on....

I hope next week won't be so bad. I feel, not only physically worn out, but also mentally and emotionally. It's been one meeting after another. I don't know how Timmy managed to cope. I know right now that I will NOT go for a second term. Seriously, I love being able to do so much but I think 2 years will be more than enough for one lifetime.

What's more, STPM results are out this Wednesday! So, as usual, my mind is spending a lot of time feeling anxious about that. I wonder why, though. I stress when the results are to be released but not during the exams itself. Wacko la.

I really can't wait. I can finally start apply for stuff once I get my results. Also, I get to see all my LSPJ buddies as well. I haven't seen them since the last fay of exams. Everyone has been so busy with work and what not, so this will be a reunion.

Now, it's time for me to watch Junior Masterchef Australia. Buhbye!!
